On 15th of July begins the 11th Music Gardens Festival – In European Gardens. The main theme of this year’s edition is the work of Polish artists that hold a special place in the history of European Culture.
The Window onto the World Festival of World Cultures has been established and held by the Baltic Sea Culture Center in Gdańsk for a several years running. This event brings together music and arts originating in various traditions from all around the world. Seventh edition of the festival will be entitled Trans Borders / Poprzez Granice
The opera season is coming to a close, but we still have an extensive, jubilee 15th Summer Krakow Opera Festival to look forward to before the holidays.
The 10th edition of Heineken Open’er Festival will take place in between 30th of June – 3rd of July 2011, in Gdynia, at the Gdynia-Kosakowo airfield. Heineken Open’er Festival is the largest Polish open-air music and performing arts festival and definitely the most important music event in Poland and Gdynia - a city in the north of Poland at the Baltic Sea coast.
A concert by cantors with a chamber orchestra, Sway Machinery featuring an African star from Mali, Jews on vinyl and in pop culture, flamenco show, Afro-American rhythms… The Jewish Culture Festival has many ways to surprise its audience.
During a press conference in Warsaw it was announced that Wroclaw has been accepted as the European City of Culture 2016.
