The “European Stadium of Culture” initiates activities that aim to promote the cultures of Poland and Ukraine, host countries of UEFA EURO 2012, stressing the meaning of their common cultural heritage, supporting their cooperation and creating artistic projects.

All of these actions will be conducted by strengthening collaboration between animators of culture and the public and private sectors, cultural networks and other partners, as well as the cultural institutions. The main goal of the program is the establishment of a common cultural space, enabling the realization of joint projects in the field of culture, as well as the promotion of a sense of community among citizens.
Inauguration of the "European Stadium of Culture" will be held in 12-14 August 2011 in Rzeszow as an open event, taking place throughout the city. Many artistic projects and concerts will be held in public space. In program there will be artistic actions, multidisciplinary workshops, concerts as well as debates and discussions encouraging viewers to interact and contribute to the arts.
Initiated by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, "European Stadium of Culture" is being implemented by the National Centre for Culture, the City of Rzeszów, Estrada Rzeszowska and Polish and Ukrainian partners.
