The concert is a tribute to Andrzej Markowski’s interests and will be held on the 25th anniversary of his death. The programme will entirely consist of 20th century music.

Chilean conductor Maximiano Valdés performs regularly at the Warsaw Philharmonic’s stage. He will conduct the concerts in October 2011 which will be commemorated to the 25. anniversary of Andrzej Markowski’s death as well as to the 100. anniversary of Stefan Kisielewski’s birthday.

The orchestra under Mo Valdés’ baton will perform the last symphony by Kisielewski, titled Symphony in a square. The excellent Russian violinist Boris Brovtsyn will present Korngold’s Violin Concerto. The concerts’ programme will be supplemented by the compositions of Mexican artist Silvestre Revueltas and Claude Debussy.
