The park includes the Lysogory mountain range, with Mount Łysica (612 meters above sea level) - the highest peak in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, and parts of the adjoining valleys.

The Swietokrzyskie Mountains, are the only Paleozoic mountains in Poland. They are also the only mountains that have a unique feature called goloborza, rocky slopes devoid of any vegetation.

The ridges of the Lysogory Range are covered with fir forests mixed with pine, beech and larch. The park’s rich plant population includes many rare species of mountain and lowland plants. The king of the park’s wildlife, and its emblem, is the deer.
