The park occupies the central part of the Lower Beskid Range, dominated by Mount Magura Wątkowska (846 meters above sea level).
It covers areas typical of the Beskid Range landscape with forested rolling hills, small rivers and streams.
The River Wisłoka has its source in the park and flows across its territory forming numerous meandering scenic gorges. The mountain slopes are dense with beech, fir and spruce forests.
The park flora contains many rare mountain species and protected plants. Bear, wolf, lynx, wildcat, the golden eagle and eagle owl represent the park’s fauna.
