The museum boasts a rich and diversified collections of sundials, gnomon devices, hourglasses and other time keeping devices: fire and mechanical clocks and astronomic equipment. The collection is considered the third most important in the world after Oxford and Chicago.

There are about 600 volumes and, among them, the most precious ones, namely Nicholas Copernicus’ De revolutionimbus orbium coelestium' of 1566 and copies signed by Hevelius, Descartes and Huygens. It is worth seeing the collection of about 25 000 drawings and exlibrises created from the 16th to 20th centuries and the preserved interiors of the Przypkowski Family filled with art collections.
