Vehicle insurance

To drive a foreign registered vehicle on Poland's public roads, EU nationals should have a valid vehicle insurance certificate arranged in their country of residence.

Non-EU nationals are required to hold an insurance certificate and an international insurance called the "Green Card".

Poland is a member of a wide-ranging international system of such cards. The Green Card can be bought at the major border checkpoints in Poland or in the traveller's own country, so please ask your insurance agent for advice.
