The Wielki Theatre in Warsaw is gearing up for five premieres before the end of the season as well as a guest performance by the Mariinsky Theatre from St. Petersburg, writes Anna S. Debowska.

The Department of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago is hosting an exhibition on the photographs and writings of Poland's most prominent reporter and prolific writer in the Temporary Gallery.

The porter Contemporary Gallery in NY presents "Artxwomen" at the Affordable Art Fair in Los Angeles, a special section of eight galleries exhibiting only female artists. Polish artist Katarzyna Majak's photographs from her latest series "Women of Power" are presented.

The exhibition presents the latest in graphic art in the context of contemporary art in order to take a closer look at the state of the medium and weigh its role as a genre. The curators of the show argue that graphic art has lost its appeal, no longer featured on specialist or mainstream publications or websites as often. Yet the form continues to develop on its own, engaging new artists and singling out the most promising of the bunch.

Polish visual artist Joanna Malinowska's works will be featured at the Whitney Museum of American Art in the upcoming 2012 Whitney Biennial which runs from the 1st of March to the 27th of May 2012.
