The railway network in Poland is very well developed and most places can now be reached by train. Intercity (express) trains run between the larger cities but you can get to other destinations by regional or fast trains. Timetables are available at railway stations and on the Internet.
Information on train timetables can be obtained at railway stations, at the Tourist Information centres or online services.

If you are planning a trip, make sure you select a suitable train – regional train services can sometimes take as much as twice as long to cover the same routing. The journey time between Warsaw and Krakow is about 3 hours by a fast intercity service but can take over 5 hours by regional train.
