While driving, cycling or walking across Poland, look out for white and brown road signs which indicate the most interesting places to visit.
The international system of tourist road marking is being introduced into Poland. White and brown signs placed at strategic locations in cities and near places of interest inform about architectural and natural landmarks, places of religious worship etc. Each sign includes not only information on the distance and the name of a particular attraction, but also a pictogram, e.g. the Jasna Góra Monastery. Themed routes such as the trail of wooden churches in the Małopolska region (south of Krakow) are marked in a similar way.
